1/600 Ship of the Line, almost ready

I'm proud to show you what our upcoming 1/600 Ship of the Line looks like, now that all the 3D printing and prototyping work is over. We intended to make a medium ship of the line, rather than any of those huge 1^st or 2^nd rates. So we took as a loose model an early 1700s Russian 58-gun warship good for building a 4^th rate model from it --or even a small 3^rd rate one if imagining it plentiful of bow and stern chaser guns!

The hull you can see in the following pictures is the ultimate production resin one, while masts and rigging are 3D printed prototypes that are to be taken to foundry --so the ultimate ones will be white metal.

Here below you can see the fine detail achieved on hull sides, showing the gun ports open.

We have also designed rigging versions for fully unfurled sails, that we shall most probably sell apart, as optional accessories for ship customization.

Here below, our warship can bee seen together with a race-built galleon from Skytrex, so as to help having a notion about their respective sizes.

We would like to have it released before the start of Summer; however, as is it likely unexpected issues to eventually occur, let's be less optimistics just for cause, and let's say we'll have it ready by late Summer.

1/100 Trubia-Naval tank preview

Here you can see what our upcoming Trubia-Naval SCW tank looks like at 1/100 scale.

This model can be considered as pre-built, because hull and running gear have been cast as a single part --so users will only need to glue the weapons of your choice to have the tank finished and ready to paint. Simpler than its 1/72 cousin, then.

1/72 Landesa improvised tank preview

I'm happy to show you the new piece of armour we shall release at 1/72 scale. This tank was improvised on Landesa tractor chassis and, despite a couple of them did see some action at Spanish Civil War outbreak, we're going to label it as an Interwar tank (20IGV003), due to having been first used during the 1934 Asturias Revolution. You can see the prototype of it at the picture above, with a Trubia-Naval Basque tank as background.

1:144 Breguet XIX prototype

Prototype of Breguet XIX light bomber and reconaissance aircraft at 1:144 scale is now ready for being brought into moulds. Naturally, there is still a lot of work to do before the ultimate production model is born, such as sculpting its crew, deciding what decals to wear and preparing a couple of samples for artwork. However, I've thought that some of you would like to know what it's starting to look like.

As for what markings to choose for decals, both Spanish Civil War sides are a straightforward option but I'd like to also allow more choices. However, if we do have in mind the large number of countries that employed this aircraft, and the reduced space available in a standard decals sheet, I'm afraid we'll have no other chance that setting a poll to hep decide.

More on the Wine Cellar

When some days ago we posted some preliminary captions on our forthcoming 1:72 Wine Cellar, someone requested us to post a few pictures else, showing the model along with figures of several scales for comparison, not just 20mm. Well, here they go at last:

1:72 Wine Cellar WIP

Despite still awaiting a roof to top the thing, I've thought you would like to see what our upcoming modernist styled Catalonian Wine Cellar is starting to look like. Better than trying to explain it in words, let's share a few captions on the prototype:

Please note the main trick we're using to make a relatively lightweight model kit from this otherwise massive building: the thick cardboard box of its packaging is going to be the building main body, on which socles, windows, false towers, terraces and other architectural details are to be fixed, so as to build the ultimate kit.

Such trick will allow us to set an affordable pricing for the model kit, as well as to keep its total weight below 400g --a measure that ought to permit shipping expenses economy too, while still allowing for a durable, tough model building on tabletop.

Two long side terraces will allow for miniatures to be placed on top, so as to help using the building not just as a simple background decoration, but as a terrain element by itself. And last, users will have the choice not to glue the roof on top, thus allowing indoor practicability too.

1/72 Landesa tractor & Vickers 105mm gun

Here you have a few pictures on one of the closest to deadline projects we've got currently in hands. Some have been taken from my mobile device, so their quality is somewhat poorer than wished --apologies for this:

The concept behind this double kit is identical to that in IGC Sadurní tractor & Schneider howitzer: that is, to make as the main product a boxed set comprising both tractor and gun, besides of a white metal driver (and perhaps, only perhaps some passengers), but also to allow users the chance to get each separately --in bag with heading card, and no extras.

Please observe that some parts of gun have ultimately been cast in metal. Results have been so satisfactory that we'll likely going to improve the same way our Schneider 155mm howitzer --so replacing its current resin wheels by metal ones too.

If everything keeps running as smoothly as so far, this new kit could easily be launched by the end of Summer.

1/72 UNL-35 Armoured Car preview

We had been working on an UNL-35 Armoured Car model from a long since but, due to an unexpectable issue, it became unavoidable to halt that particular project for a while, before re-taking it from the very start again, under hands of a new 3D designer. The re-started model has been progressing steadily and fast lately, so that we're at last tightly close to have its 3D prototype finished. That's what it currently looks like:

A deadline for its launching cannot be given yet; we expect to 3D print a first prototype of it during Summer, so that ideally its first production copies ought to be ready at some time within Autumn. Just for case, we have it currently scheduled for Winter.

Prototypes of Benach M1935 Fast Tank

Lot of time passed since our last piece of news regarding this amazing pre-war tank project - the blueprints of which had remained unknown until past year, as we told you in previous posts. As a matter of fact we've been silently working on it - although from a second line, for we considered it prioritary to push harder other, more SCW-related projects. It has never been put aside, though - so we can proudly show you now the ultimate prototypes of this Inter-wars tank at both 1/72 and 1/100 scales:

According to our plans, the kit is to include both alternative running configurations - on tracks and on wheels. Here below you can see them compared to their respective scale T-26 tanks:

It's a bit soon still for giving you a certain, precise deadline for its releasing - but we hope to be able to release it by Autumn.
