New figure range to come

After a lot of time spent thinking around (years, actually!), this month I've finally taken the decision to start a new range of War of the Spanish Succession 1/72 figures, dedicated mainly to the too often forgotten peninsular armies; not just Philip d'Anjou's army, but also that one of Charles Habsburg - hopefully extending with time to Portuguese troops too, depending on this new range rate of success.

After some talk with other knowledgeable professionals, I've commissioned this new range to the well-known sculptor Leonid Primachenko, who has already excelled at sculpting horse & musket figures for other manufacturers. If taking a look at the pictures in this post, I believe you'll agree this is going to be a very promising range!

First figures commissioned are the couple of Austro-Catalan Mountain Fusiliers or Miquelets that you can see in pictures, that will be accompanied by another two figures to form a first set of 4 skirmishing fusiliers. A further set to follow shortly afterwards will comprise a Miquelets officer and horn blower.

Figures are to be around 20-21mm tall from feet to eyebrows, so 1/72 scale compatible. Here above you can see how does one of our figures compare to a GNW musketeer from Zvezda.

Comparing our 1:100 Panzer I Ausf. A

When announcing our 15mm Panzer I ausf. A release last week, we promised to show a few pictures of it painted, along with some other German tanks from other brands. Well, here you are such photos:

And here below, all Panzers from IV to I. They're respectively from Plastic Soldier Company, Zvezda (both III and II) and Minairons. Worth to be noted that nearly all decals shown in this collection are by an obscure German firm called Peddinghaus Decals:

Comparing 15 & 18mm SCW miniatures

I had posted here a short article with a picture showing for comparison our first 1:100^th scale model side by side with the metal figures of up to 4 different brands making, or having made in the past, a range of 15 to 18mm SCW soldiers.

However, one of those brands has so strongly objected both article and picture, adducing to be severely harmful to their interest that --after some hours of tense, even angry posting and emailing--, I've finally decided to drop off the article from public show. Although still believing to be in the right to compare and let users decide after their personal tastes, when my own product is involved in the decision taking, I've later thought that it would be a nonsense to ignore the other side allegations --for in the end, no one owns all the truth, as commonly said here.

So better removing the article, before we all end up publicly quarrelling like street children gangs. If anyone is doubtful about sizes, scales and compatibilities of Minairons' models with whatsoever other products, I'll have no inconvenience at privately informing him/her, though.
