Stocks updated for 1:100 scale

Just as already done with other scales, I've managed to inventory what number of each 1:100^th scale model I still have in stock --with a few pleasant surprises, that can be checked on the corresponding page of this very same blog.

Also, I've taken advantage of such update for setting on sale the production prototypes of two SCW models that already existed in 1:72^nd scale, but not in 1:100^th scale yet: the armoured carrier and unarmoured tractor versions of IGC Sadurní tank. Both are sold as they were cast --i.e. with no driver included. Don't miss the chance, because both models are truly unique!

Stocks updated for 1:144 scale

After 1:72^nd scale, it was now time for me to update remaining stocks of 1:144^th scale stuff --basically aircraft and WSS flags. Once again, there happens to be some more items than accounted for --mainly due to already mentioned latest hour order cancellations. In accordance to previous announcements on this matter, such updated stocks have been listed on the 1:144^th scale page of this very same blog, that will be properly updated at every eventual change.

Next will be the turn of our 1:600^th scale ranges, all related to Age of Sail.

After Minairons' website closure, I've spent the week performing a thorough inventory of what 1:72^nd scale stuff was still left on shelves. Not too surprisingly, I've found out to have some more items than accounted for --mainly due to latest hour order cancellations. In accordance to what I already announced before, all these stocks have been listed on the 1:72^nd scale page of this very same blog, that will be properly updated at every eventual change.

In the next few weeks, I'm going to perform similar inventories on all our other ranges. Stay tuned!

New 1:144 Breguet Br. XIX light bomber

I'm happy to show you our first release of 2020, a new 1:144^th scale SCW aircraft this time. It's the renowned Breguet Br. XIX, a light bomber and reconnaissance biplane aircraft that is a real must for virtually any interwar, SCW and early WWII setting.

Following our customary practice, model itself is quite easy to build, for it consists of just 9 finely cast, high quality resin parts - besides of white metal pilot and gunner kindly supplied by Peter Pig. Breguet Br. XIX boxed set also includes a decal sheet that includes markings for both SCW sides, as well as for a WWII Greek aircraft.

1/100 IGC Sadurní tank, released!

I'm glad to announce the ultimate release by Minairons of a new Spanish Civil War AFV at 1/100 scale. This is IGC Sadurní Catalan tank, a beautiful little piece of armour we have launched in a 2-tanks boxed set also including a decals sheet at the price of €16.95.

As usual, model itself is quite easy to build; for it consists of just three resin main parts, besides of a hard plastic MG. One can build it in a few minutes, then.

here you have one such Sadurní tanks, built and superbly painted by Rubén Torregrosa aka HeresyBrush, that has been depicted between an UNL-35 armoured car and a Pz.Kpfw I ausf. A modificado tank.

New 1/72 Trubia-Naval tank

We are proud to announce that 1/72 Trubia-Naval tank will be released Monday 30^th May, once its boxes come out from printshop. While looking forward to these, we've already made the tank available for pre-order here.

As you can see above, model itself is quite simple, for it consists of just 4 resin parts for assemblying ease. Each box is to contain 2 of these, besides of 2 different weapons sprues allowing a wide choice --as well as a decals sheet containing SCW Basque markings for up to 3 tanks, and a larger number of Welsh insignia for VBCW!

New 1/56 scale M1 Armored Car

After some months of silence regarding 1/56 scale, we are proud to show our latest release in such scale: the Interwar M1 Armored Car, a fighting vehicle that served in the US Cavalry in the early 1930s.

As you can see by the picture above, model is mainly resin and consists of 22 parts, 8 of which are white metal. Set is completed by a decals sheet containing several early US markings and US Cavalry badges. Such sheet can be acquired separately, too.

Priced at €24.95, this new model kit can be purchased right now from our website - or you can wait until our main dealers have got stocked from them. Minairons products are distributed in the UK by Plastic Soldier Company, and by Scale Creep Miniatures in North America.

1938 Racing Cars, now at 1:100th scale

Just as promised when launching, a few months ago, a brand new series of Grand Prix racing cars at 1:72^nd scale, we have now re-scaled them into 1:100^th too.

As it can be seen on the picture above, set includes 3 different racing cars: Mercedes Benz W154, Auto Union type D and Alfa Romeo c12/312. Just as their 1:72 sisters, each model consists on a single part resin hull, two white metal shafts, four resin wheels and a white metal driver. Set is completed too by a decals sheet with number serials in white, black, blue and red.

Priced at €21.95, this new Minairons set is already available at our website, and hopefully soon from our main distributors and retailers too.

New 1/144 Grumman FF-1/GE-23 fighter

It's already available the 1/144^th scale version of Grumman FF-1/GE-23 - a fighter biplane we had launched at 1/100 some weeks ago. Just as its bigger sister, it consists of 5 resin parts (2 of which are alternative noses) and a few smaller pieces in white metal, such as struts and propellor blades. Cockpit is made of translucent resin too. Boxed set is completed by a decals sheet containing US, British Empire and Spanish Republican markings.

We are proud of this our third Spanish Civil War aircraft, manufactured as said at both 1/144^th and 1/100^th scales. This new model can be found at our website priced at €10.95.

New 1/100 Grumman FF-1/GE-23 fighter

We're proud to announce the release of our first model kit of 2015: Grumman FF-1/GE-23 fighter at 1/100 scale, the first aircraft carrier based fighter, a few dozens of which were acquired by the Spanish Republic during SCW.

Model kit itself is well detailed albeit quite simple, as you can see in the image above. All main parts are made of high quality resin, while struts and propeller are white metal. As a novelty with regard to previous releases, this kit includes a translucent resin cockpit.

As with formerly released aircraft, our 1/100 Grumman FF-1/GE-23 fighter has been released in a box whose reverse includes an assembly schema and a painting suggestion. Kit also includes a decals sheet with markings for US, Commonwealth and Spanish Republican service. it's been priced at € 15.95, just as the rest of our 1/100 aircraft range.

New 1938 Racing Cars!

We are happy to acknowledge you all about our latest release before Christmas - the first set of a hopefully successful new range, one devoted to 1938 Grand Prix racing cars, that we expect to make at 1/72 and 1/100 scales altogether.

Despite the development of our first Interwar AFV has been hampered by every kind of obstacles, we have paciently managed to sort out each one, until the first complete models have started coming out from workshop at last - albeit at a rate lower than desired at first. So that we can now proudly show the first ultimate models of Benach M1935 fast tank at 1/72 scale.

Each boxed set contains 2 complete tanks, mainly in high quality resin with some smaller parts in white metal or plastic. Each tank is accompanied by the full compliment of alternative running gears - for building them as either in on-tracks or on-wheels mode, at choice. The full set is completed with a decals sheet with WWII Turkish, what-if WWII Spanish Republican, what-if Catalan Republican and VBCW Liverpool Free State markings - a lot of dystopic choices!

New 1/72 Frontline Bookmobile

I'm proud to show you our latest product, a 1/72 scale Catalonian frontline bookmobile on Ford AA chassis. The Catalan Government pioneered during SCW the very first proper bookmobiles service in Spain, as a way to bring leisure and culture to the Republican soldiers. It consisted of a small fleet of adapted trucks/buses, whose task had to be visiting regularly field hospitals and rearguard encampments. One such bookmobiles was built on a Ford AA van chassis - and this is the one we've reproduced in this kit.

As it can be seen above, this is a pretty light and easy to assembly model kit. Most of its parts are high quality resin, except for a few metal or hard plastic parts. Kit is complimented by a white metal female driver/librarian, whom you can watch below:

And last, kit comprises a couple of optional resin panels, so as to convert the van into a windowed ambulance. Following such purpose too, a decals sheet is included containing the markings needed for either a Catalan bookmobile, a Spanish Republican ambulance and a fictional, humouristic British bookmobile.

New 1/72 Renault FT-17

We are delighted to announce the release of our first entirely hard-plastic model kit of this year, the Renault FT-17 light tank - definitely the most ubiquitous armoured fighting vehicle in History for, despite being considered as obsolescent since mid 1920s, it survived in battlefields well into the 1970s!! - If unbelieving, go ask the Soviet soldiers having fought in Afghanistan, what kind of armour did they meet in Taliban hands!

Back to this our new hard-plastic model, it is the result of a co-operative work with the HäT Industrie Inc. reputed USA company, by which the model kit has been manufactured partly by them, partly by us. This way, in each of our 3-tanks box you'll find 3 sprues including hull and running gear, other 3 sprues comprising 2 alternative turrets each besides of an MG and a cannon that can be fitted on whatever the turret you choose, and last one sheet with a number of different decals for several SCW Basque, generic Communist, VBCW Anglican League and 20^th cent. French markings.

As stated above, 1/72 Renault FT-17 tank is available either in 3 tanks + decals box, or single in bag (with no decals). 20GEC006 decals are separately available too. All them can be purchased at our www.minairons.eu website, or through any of our current distributors/ retailers as usual.

1/72 Ford AA Bookmobile preview

Besides of the recently announced Renault FT-17 tank, we hope to please all our friends with a second SCW 1/72 scale model kit - this one, a mainly resin softskin vehicle, with a couple hard plastic and white metal parts: The Ford AA Frontline Bookmobile. Here you have one of them superbly painted by Rubén Torregrosa of Heresy Brush:

Thanks to a couple side panels and the help of the accompanying optional decals, the model can otherwise be built as a Republican Ambulance:

We expect to release this new 1/72 model during September, shortly after the Renault FT-17. It will retail as a boxed single kit, along with the white metal figure you can watch in the pictures, and a decals sheet allowing you those two options above - besides of a humouristic third one, based on the ubiquitous "Keep calm &..."
