New 1/72 UNL-35 Armoured Car

We have just added a new armoured fighting vehicle to our ever growing 1/72 Spanish Civil War collection: now it's been the turn for UNL-35 armoured car. Although inspired on the Soviet BA-20, this Spanish-made vehicle outperformed its model, so being is considered by many as the best AFV in Spanish Civil War. UNL-35s were mainly used by the Spanish Republic Army and Asaltos Police, although some were captured by their Nationalist enemies. A few managed to escape capture by crossing the Catalonian-French border, and were seized by the French Army --falling into German hands some months later, following the invasion of France.

UNL-35s come in 2-model boxes. Each model kit comprises just 11 parts, most of them in high quality resin. Only headlights and MGs are cast in white metal. Here below you can watch what one such vehicles looks like, once built:

UNL-35 Armoured Car preview

Our next 1/72 scale SCW fighting vehicle is now almost ready for release. Here below you have what one of our ultimate UNL-35 armoured cars looks like, once built and painted by Heresy Brush:

Model itself will be made mostly of high quality resin, with only MGs and headlights cast in white metal. It will be released in 2-model boxes --I can't give you a price of it yet, for this depends on some latest hour invoices; anyway, I can reasonably expect it not to be more expensive than our Bilbao AFV.

A first batch of this pretty AFV has already been cast, so that we are now just waiting for box design to be completed and brought to printshop. Therefore, we can assert it will be released next month --that is, March 2015.

1/72 UNL-35 Armoured Car preview

We had been working on an UNL-35 Armoured Car model from a long since but, due to an unexpectable issue, it became unavoidable to halt that particular project for a while, before re-taking it from the very start again, under hands of a new 3D designer. The re-started model has been progressing steadily and fast lately, so that we're at last tightly close to have its 3D prototype finished. That's what it currently looks like:

A deadline for its launching cannot be given yet; we expect to 3D print a first prototype of it during Summer, so that ideally its first production copies ought to be ready at some time within Autumn. Just for case, we have it currently scheduled for Winter.
