Stocks updated for 1:100 scale

Just as already done with other scales, I've managed to inventory what number of each 1:100^th scale model I still have in stock --with a few pleasant surprises, that can be checked on the corresponding page of this very same blog.

Also, I've taken advantage of such update for setting on sale the production prototypes of two SCW models that already existed in 1:72^nd scale, but not in 1:100^th scale yet: the armoured carrier and unarmoured tractor versions of IGC Sadurní tank. Both are sold as they were cast --i.e. with no driver included. Don't miss the chance, because both models are truly unique!

Now I'm going to figure out how to keep available to public our free download PDFs.

Stocks updated for 1:72 scale

After Minairons' website closure, I've spent the week performing a thorough inventory of what 1:72^nd scale stuff was still left on shelves. Not too surprisingly, I've found out to have some more items than accounted for --mainly due to latest hour order cancellations. In accordance to what I already announced before, all these stocks have been listed on the 1:72^nd scale page of this very same blog, that will be properly updated at every eventual change.

In the next few weeks, I'm going to perform similar inventories on all our other ranges. Stay tuned!

New 1:35 Landesa tractor

Our friends of ResinLab have surprised us with a previously unexpected novelty: the 1/35^th scale version of the SCW artillery tractor Landesa, one sample of which is already in our hands. It consists of a resin cast hull complemented by two also resin track sets as well as a good number of 3D printed accessories.

Also, just to recall we are going to briefly reopen Minairons website this midnight (23:00h London time) for a final clearance sale. Don't miss it!

No news on Minairons' eventual survival, sadly. Some have shown interest in acquiring this or that range, but nothing can be set for granted yet.

Italeri products sale

Just as previously announced for Zvezda and Peter Pig stuff, when I reopen Minairons miniatures website next month, I'm going to offer a 50% discount on all products Italeri there, mainly 1:72^nd scale WWII model kits belonging to their fast assembly range, as well as some of their plastic figure boxes.

Such sale is going to last just until end of stocks, of course.

Zvezda products sale

Just as with Peter Pig's figures and models, when I briefly reopen Minairons miniatures webshop next month, I'm going to offer a 50% discount offer on all products from Zvezda --a renowned Russian model kit company whose products I've been retailing for the past few years.

Such sale comprises all of their WWII-related 1:144^th scale plastic aircraft, 1:100^th scale plastic vehicles and 1:72^nd scale plastic figures and ordnance, as well as their GNW-related 1:72^nd scale figures - all those we do have in stock, I mean.

Such sale is going to last just until end of stocks, naturally.

Peter Pig products sale

As a first step in the gradual process of dismantling Minairons miniatures webshop, I've thought it logical to cease retailing some third party products, such as those from Peter Pig --a British make mostly known for their 15mm white metal figures, as well as their 1:100^th scale resin or metal vehicles and accessories.

Such sale is going to consist of a 50% discount offer on all products Peter Pig in our website, currently comprising their 4mm Age of Sail ships and naval accessories, as well as their 15mm SCW and WWII figures, vehicles, artillery and accessories.

Such sale will start as soon as Minairons Miniatures website is reopen by mid August. And, quite obviously, it is going to last just until end of stocks.

1:100 Barbastro tank released

We've just released the 1:100^th version of the Barbastro tank, a handcrafted behemoth locally built in the Aragonese town where the thing borrows the name from, whose 1:72^nd scale equivalent is also available from a long since. Unlike its larger sister, this 1:100^th Barbastro is DLP 3D-printed in just two parts (main hull and a rotating turret), and it's complemented by two hard plastic machine guns.

Quite large for its poor armament and armour, it was built in very small numbers: only one prototype for sure, and up to three others later, apparently from a slightly improved design. It's uncertain whether any of them saw any fighting at all.

Upcoming Lancia-Ansaldo IZM

As perhaps some of you have already noticed when visiting Minairons' website, it is currently closed for a short vacation until next October 20^th.

While in holidays, I've thought that you would like to know that we're about to launch a new 1:72^nd scale fighting vehicle suitable not just for SCW, but for both World Wars as well - besides of a number of Interwar settings: the Lancia-Ansaldo IZM armoured car! This new model kit will become fully available just at our holidays end - by October 20^th!

Model itself is mostly resin cast, as you can see in the photo above, complemented by a few 3D printed accessories. It all makes a total of no more than 14 parts.

This one sample has been masterly painted by Salva Rosselló from Pincel y Masilla studio. Don't miss his superb artwork!

1:72 Mercier tank

Right after the release of ResinLab's 1:35^th scale Mercier tank, here it comes now its 1:72^nd scale version under Minairons ownership.

Model itself is even simpler to build than its larger sister, because it consists of just five parts - main hull, both tracks as well as MGs (which don't show at the image above, BTW). The larger parts are resin cast while the smaller ones are hard plastic.

1:35 Mercier tank

Our partner company ResinLab (which is the brand our usual resin caster is behind) has recently released a new 1:35^th scale Spanish Civil War AFV - the rare, ill-known Mercier tank, also sometimes known as Aragon tank - and we at Minairons are going to stock it on a permanent basis,

Model itself is quite easy to build, because it consists of just seven pieces - main hull, both tracks, hatchets and MGs. The larger parts are resin cast while the smaller ones are 3D printed.

A 1:72^nd version of it is also coming soon.

1:56 Hispano Suiza MC-36 is back, too

This SCW huge beast is available back again too, as a set of STL files for 3D-printing. It has been simplified so as to have less small parts, so it's easier to build now than previously as a resin model kit; although it still requires a little assembly job. Also, we've taken advantage of this re-release for remodeling and improving its optional T-26 turret, in order to make it look better.

Worth to be pointed out that Minairons has also opened a store in Wargaming3D website, where you will find all our digital products too.

1:72 Barbastro tank released

It's finally available our latest announced Spanish Civil War AFV model in 1:72^nd scale - the Barbastro tank, a handcrafted behemoth locally built in the Aragonese town where the thing takes its name from.

Model kit itself consists of just 8 parts, cast mainly in high quality resin - hull, tracks and turret along with its hatches, besides of a couple of white metal Hotchkiss MGs.

As said, this new addition to range is already available at Minairons website. Hope you like it!

1:72 Barbastro tank preview

I'm excited to share with you a sample of what's going to be our next Spanish Civil War 1:72^nd scale AFV - the obscure, massive Barbastro tank!

Despite its larger than average size for a lightly armed tank, model kit is consisting of just six main parts, so standing still as a fast assembly one. Model is complete now, only awaiting before release a decision about weaponry to be taken.

The upcoming release of this new model will serve us to celebrate Minairons 10^th Anniversary, that happens to be this very Summer! A huge thank you to everyone who has placed their trust in us. We hope to keep deserving that trust.

New 1:100 Chevrolet AAC

I'm happy to announce the release of a new 1:100^th scale AFV model for Spanish Civil War 15mm gaming --the Chevrolet armoured car, whose 1:72^nd version was also released shortly ago.

Model itself can't be easier to build, for it just consists of three main parts (hull, turret and hull MG), thanks to it having been DLP 3D-printed. It's on sale as either a 2-vehicle boxed set, or as a single vehicle pack.

Photo above corresponds to its 1:72^nd scale version side by side with a Soviet BA-6 (this one, from Pegasus), showing their overall close similarity.

This particular AFV can be used both for SCW and WWII (in French and German service).

New 1937 Chevrolet AAC

I'm happy to announce release of a further Spanish Civil War AFV in 1:72^nd scale: 1937 Chevrolet AAC, an armored car developed and built by loyalist forces in Catalonia during the Spanish Civil War. Heavily inspired on Soviet BA-6s, some 60 to 90 Chevrolet AACs were built at Hispano-Suiza factory in Barcelona, using General Motors chassis as well as armour from Sagunt blast furnaces.

Its main differences to Soviet BA-6 were its turret, engine access doors, mudguard profile, wheels and (quite importantly) its Chevrolet engine, that was some 10 HP more powerful than that of their Soviet counterparts.

After the Ebro Battle, where Nationalists destroyed 17 Chevies and captured other 18, all the remaining Chevrolet AAC that were still in Catalonia were pulled back to the French border, where they were given to the French border forces. France used them shortly afterwards with low casualties, although some 20 of them were captured by the Germans - who in turn reused them in Operation Barbarossa up to the the Battle of Moscow. According to some sources, a few went in hands of the Spanish Blue Division and were used in Leningrad whereabouts.

1937 Chevrolet AAC, just ready!

Once back from a short vacation in the Pyrenees, I'm happy to share some preliminary views on what is going to be our next Spanish Civil War AFV release, both in 1:100^th and 1:72^nd scales - the ubiquitous 1937 Chevrolet armoured car!

As usual, these will be fast assembly model kits consisting of a main body for hull, and separate parts for wheels, headlights, turret and hull MG. Some of these pieces will be resin cast while others will be hard plastic or DLP 3D-printed.

As an aside note, this can be a really enjoyable model due to the number of adaptations and modifications suffered over their long service life - longer than one would expect from a start!

While still in SCW, some where fitted 45mm gun turrets cannibalized from T-26 tanks or BA-6 ACs. But then, once the Republic was defeated, a lot of Chevies fled to France; most were pressed into french service, either under their original liveries and weaponry, or with newly assigned camo schemes and armament. Later, after the fall of France, the germans took over all those Chevies still serviceable and pressed them into their own service, duely repainted in Panzergrau and dispatched to the Russian front, either with their existing weapons, or performing new roles such as troop carriers or turretless anti-aircraft platforms.

1:56 Sadurní tank is here!

I'm proud to announce release of IGC Sadurní tank at 1:56 scale - a model already released in 1:72 and 1:100 scales from a long since, and much demanded by 28mm SCW gamers too.

As a novelty, this new model isn't resin cast as usual but DLP 3d-printed instead, so it comes as a single piece. No assembly is needed.

New L3/33 Carro Veloce boxed set

Each box contains two resin AFV model kits --the one destined to build as a regular tankette with twin MGs, while the other intended to build as a flamethrower tank, with its propellant trailer; besides, set also contains the two crewmen you can see in pictures, sculpted by Xan.

Both vehicles can also be acquired separately as "reinforcements", under codes 20GER011 and 20GER044.

Vickers 105/22 howitzer, retooled

Once again, we have spent some time retooling previously existing products. Now we have brought to white metal our 1/72 Vickers 105mm howitzer - so replacing the combined resin/metal production so far. This step also allows us to price the model cheaper than before.

Schneider 155/13 howitzer, retooled

Once again, we have spent some time retooling our 1/72 Schneider 155mm howitzer - in order to produce it in white metal from now on, rather than in resin as so far. Also, we've made the model kit slightly simpler and sturdier by casting gun barrel and its carriage jointly, as a single part.

Please note the different positions of gun barrel with regard to its carriage, depending on the kit involved - travelling position in the IGC Sadurní tractor boxed set, while ready for fire when a single gun pack.

Despite the change, prices remain the same.
