Plastic Soldier Co. stuff sale

As some of you perhaps already know, I have recently retired from active work. Under such circumstances, I've thought it wiser to gradually cease retailing some third party products - with the aim to keep selling only Minairons' own stuff in the long run.

This way, I've just started a series of clearance sales of such kind of third party products still in stock. This first sale comprises a small lot of Plastic Soldier Company's 15mm figure boxes - some of which is out of stock in PSC's own webshop.

Quite obviously, such sale is going to last just until end of stocks.

Shipping fees drop to UK customers

I'm sad to announce that The Plastic Soldier Company is no longer going to carry and distribute Minairons Miniatures stuff. They haven't formally acknowledged me over yet (something I would have greeted anyway), but all clues and indications do confirm this is irreversible. This circumstance saddens me even more if recalling that I had always taken PSC as a model to follow.

However, setbacks along the way should not make us stop, look back and regret. Nothing is gained like this. This is the reason why, after some thinking, I've chosen to be proactive and decide the following: as while as Minairons Miniatures does not achieve a trade deal with another UK company replacing PSC as distributor or even retailer, I've dropped all order shipping fees to individual British & Irish customers to local rates (the same ones enjoyed by Spanish customers), as if Minairons was based in the UK.

No need to add that every UK & Ireland local shop is warmly invited to get in touch with us and purchase Minairons stuff directly from us, so avoiding intermediaries --as other shops in Spain, EU and USA are already doing. Please find here our general terms for retail.

A load on the way to PSC HQ

British friends of Minairons miniatures will perhaps like to know that a load of our stuff is right now on its way to the HQ of The Plastic Soldier Company --who are our distributors in the UK. Packages include not only a wide selection of 1/100, 1/72 and 1/56 stuff including our latest novelties, as 1/72 BT-5 fast tank for instance, but also a sample of our upcoming 20mm Requeté Militia figure set (which BTW is already available and shipping right now, only that I haven't had time for announcing it yet!).

Now stocking Sarissa Precision 1/72 buildings

We at Minairons have just started stocking on a permanent basis the new range of 1/72nd scale MDF building kits made by Sarissa Precision in close partnership with Plastic Soldier Company. Both companies have associated to build a beautiful range of affordable MDF architectural kits, certainly easy to build and paint, that will look certainly great on any 20th century wargame 20mm setting.

The first kits released consist of a Large Factory, Russian Village House #1, a magnificent Château and a Farmhouse. That's not all, though: both companies assure to have a new batch of buildings ready for next month!

Battlegroup Spain supplement?

I guess that some of you already know (of have learnt about) the excellent Battlegroup WWII wargame rules series published by Iron Fist and sponsored by The Plastic Soldier Company; rules that are set mainly at 15mm to 20mm and can be played at different engagement sizes --typically, platoon to battalion levels. Well, the matter is that a group of gamers particularly attached to this ruleset have thoroughly prepared a supplement of it for Spanish Civil War --something that quickly attracted my attention like a magnet.

A PDF copy of that Spanish Civil War supplement draft was then submitted to Iron Fist and PSC teams, and they agreed it to be consistent enough for being worked out toward an ultimate version --provided that a more thoroughful testing might derive in any eventual amendment. It was also judged plausible to publish it in some form (even as a PDF), but for doing so it is compulsorily required to meet the designing high quality standards Battlegroup series has got us accustomed to.

Plain and simple, this means having lots of real contemporary pictures, as well as appropriate photos of figures and models in beatifully depicted scenarios. And I alone don't enjoy the resources needed for gathering such a large collection of pictures --or paying for these to be taken, either. This is why I would like to make a call to all those of you who would love a Battlegroup SCW supplement, to help us gathering as much and as good graphical stuff as possible, in order to illustrate such supplement accordingly to the high standards expected.

Related to all this, perhaps some of you will be glad to know that the making of appropriate Vehicle Data Cards for SCW is under study too. We would be granted full permission from owners above for doing so, provided the ultimate product meets their approval. I was thinking of a khaki brown for Republican AFV cards, while a khaki green for the Nationalist ones; would you agree to this, or would you suggest a different colour pattern instead?

20mm Republican AT guns

20GEF004 box
I'm proud to show you the result of a collaborative work between us and The Plastic Soldier Company consisting of a hard-plastic & white metal combined set, that comprises two Soviet 45mm AT gun sprues along with their Spanish Republican crews.
20GEF004 sprue
The new set includes two of such sprues, so that a small 2-gun AT battery can be built from a single box.
20GEF004 guns
As for the accompanying figures, they consist of 6 crewmen and a leading officer, all them unique and different to each other. Figures have been superbly sculpted by Xan as usual.
painted 20GEF004
This is what this our new set looks like once painted and depicted by HeresyBrush. An enviable job indeed, don't you believe?

This 20GEF004 - Republican AT guns set is already available from our website --and it's priced at € 15.95.

Good news for UK customers

PSC We are exultant to let you know that The Plastic Soldier Company, who are our main distributor in the United Kingdom, has just decided to venture unreservedly into Spanish Civil War; having thus recently introduced our full catalogue in their trade listings, as well as into their own online webshop. I'm convinced this will be good news to our wide community of British customers, who will from now on have the chance to get our models and figures direct from an UK trader, so saving some shipping money.

Rif Raf Also, some might like to know that Rif Raf Miniatures are willing to carry our 1/56th scale models too, due to having judged these to be an ideal compliment to their excellent own range of Spanish Civil War 28mm figures --with a prospective at tightening closer our deal, for Rif Raf figures might be welcome in Spain and, if so, we'd love carrying them. Rif Raf Miniatures own website has already been updated with our 1/56 products too.

Now stocking Plastic Soldier

PSC Logo Some of you might have noticed that Plastic Soldier Company are selling our products from their website since a while ago. We've thought it fair and profitable to perform in correspondance, so we've decided to carry PSC's own ranges from our own www.minairons.eu website in turn, as well as Zvezda's Art of Tactic stuff --just as they do, too.

PSC Warsprays So from now on, you'll be able to find in our website not only PSC's own 1/72 and 1/100 models and figures, but also their renowned War Sprays, their WWII plastic bases or even their not long ago released Battlegroup WWII gaming rule sets.

Of course, we aren't able to afford a full stock of PSC's complete listing yet --but anything in their catalogue can certainly be dealt with by us. Just ask us for a specific item, and we shall eagerly bring it to you.
