Schneider 155/13 howitzer, retooled

Once again, we have spent some time retooling our 1/72 Schneider 155mm howitzer - in order to produce it in white metal from now on, rather than in resin as so far. Also, we've made the model kit slightly simpler and sturdier by casting gun barrel and its carriage jointly, as a single part.

Please note the different positions of gun barrel with regard to its carriage, depending on the kit involved - travelling position in the IGC Sadurní tractor boxed set, while ready for fire when a single gun pack.

Despite the change, prices remain the same.

(Spare resin gun barrels and carriages will be still available for some time at request - just drop us a line if so)

On the other side, we've had no other chance than raising a bit one model's price, due to having re-tooled gun and carriage wheels, so as to cast them in metal instead of resin:
20GEV014

20GEV014 - SADURNÍ Tractor & Howitzer
1/72 scale - 1 resin & metal tractor & gun

Old price - € 16.95
NOW - € 17.95

We apologize for eventual inconveniences this policy change might produce.

1/72 Sadurní Tractor & Howitzer released

20GEV014 box
We are proud to show you our latest release at 1/72nd scale: IGC Sadurní Tractor, in our kit towing a Schneider 155mm howitzer. Tractor itself is quite easdy to build, for it consists of a total of 10 parts --4 of which are actually optional, such as mudguards and up to 2 headlights.
20GEV014 parts
As for the howitzer and its limber, we've been able to solve them in a small number of parts too: just 9. Due to a photographer error (me!), the part destined to hold the muzzle is not shown in picture --this is why you can only see 8 pieces. Apologies for the error, I'm definitely bad at taking photos!
tractor & howitzer
As you can see, kit includes not just tractor and howitzer themselves, but also a white metal driver, a right side empty seat and a decals sheet including both historical and what-if or fictional markings. The whole kit retails at € 16.95.

1/72 IGC Sadurní tractor & 155mm howitzer

20GEV014
Good news for those fond of 1/72nd scale. After having launched the tank version of IGC Sadurní, we're now ready to release its artillery tractor version. As you can see on the picture above, model kit will also include an all-resin Schneider 155mm howitzer and carrier, as well as a white metal driver. We're currently just awaiting boxes to be printed!

1/72 Republican Field Artillery

Schneider 155mm mod. 1917
We are happy to show you another set in our upcoming range of white metal 1/72nd figures. As the title itself suggests, it will be focused on the Schneider 155mm Howitzer mod. 1917, used by both sides during Spanish Civil War. Gun itself will be cast in high quality resin and will come in two different configurations.

On one side, the howitzer will be included into our upcoming IGC Sadurní Tractor set in travelling mode, along with an appropriate carriage.

On the other side (and this is a real novelty) it will be part of a Republican Field Artillery set also including 4 white metal artillerymen and a tripod rangefinder, whose preliminary art concept by Juan G. Bautista of Xan Miniatures can be seen below:

Having into account the heavy amount of stuff we are currently working on altogether, we have provisionally queued both sets in the pipeline for February 2014 --with the more than likely prospect to having both substantially advanced in calendar, while our plastic + resin + metal mountain goes slowly clarified. Stay tuned!

1/72nd IGC Sadurní tank prototypes

IGC Sadurní
Coming out from workshop the very first prototypes at 1:72nd scale of the ill-known IGC Sadurní Catalan tank, in all its three versions: assault tank, universal carrier and artillery tractor --this latter, carrying a 155mm Schneider gun.

In spite of sharing some features, such as running gear and lower hull, the amount of parts exclusive to each variant has persuaded us not to make with it one single multi-option model kit; but three different, separate kits instead. The first one to be released is the Assault Tank version (20GEV001), whose releasing is scheduled for September 11th, Catalonia's National Day.

Here below you can see them compared to all three Panzer I versions alongside. Anything but a huge piece of armour, isn't it?

Apologies for the pictures quality, we definitely should take some lessons on it!

More Sadurní Tank variants

As said on our latest post, the IGC Sadurní d'Anoia tank wasn't approved for mass production, but its concept served for producing two more successful variants: a general purpose carrier and an artillery tractor. Quite logically, both are being designed alongisde with the main tank prototype --and will be brought to production within this year too. Here below you can see all three altogether --the tractor at front, the tank in background and the carrier at right.
Sadurní variants
From the very first design stages, we realized there would be too many version-specific parts for one single, multi-option model kit. As a consequence, we've finally decided to release separately each one of them, under the respective references of 20GEV001 (tank), 20GEV013 (carrier) and 20GEV014 (tractor) --all at 1/72 scale first.

It must be noted all three model kits will share the same decals sheet including not only real insignia and mottos historically applied on each vehicle, but also a few hypothetical markings else, aimed at giving an option for alternative, pulp-ish or dystopic settings such as VBCW (*). This is what the sheet will look like --the pink colour you can see is no colour at all, but just the varnish layer area depiction:
20GEC001
There is more, though. The artillery tractor version will include white metal pilot and co-pilot, as well as a Schneider 155mm gun! On the other hand, the general purpose carrier will include not only the above mentioned crewmen, but also four Republican soldiers as seated passengers!

...and no, the series isn't finished yet.
