New 1:35 Landesa tractor

Our friends of ResinLab have surprised us with a previously unexpected novelty: the 1/35th scale version of the SCW artillery tractor Landesa, one sample of which is already in our hands. It consists of a resin cast hull complemented by two also resin track sets as well as a good number of 3D printed accessories.

Also, just to recall we are going to briefly reopen Minairons website this midnight (23:00h London time) for a final clearance sale. Don't miss it!

No news on Minairons' eventual survival, sadly. Some have shown interest in acquiring this or that range, but nothing can be set for granted yet.

Upcoming 1:600 Late galleass

As said a few days prior, there's still a number of finished but unreleased projects that I'm willing to share right before closure.

This one of today is another of such cases: a 1:600th scale large galleass --not of the type used at Lepanto, but a later model dating back to the second half of 17th century to early 18th century. Those late galleasses did no longer constitute the backbone of any Mediterranean navy, but were still widely used either for commerce or as prestige vessels.

The current model kit has been designed according to one precise Venetian galleass, but several others of this period are known and are quite similar, used at least by France and the Ottoman Empire too.

Prior to our current family health issues, I was assembling and painting a sample model; however, I'm afraid I won't be able to complete it in time to provide you a decent boxart. So this one above is most likely to be the model kit's box ultimate look.

Vallejo products sale

Just as with products from other brands, when I temporarily reopen Minairons miniatures webshop again in a couple of weeks, I'm going to offer a 50% discount offer on all products from Acrylicos Vallejo that I currently still have in stock.

Such promotion applies both to their Model Color paints and Toray synthetic brushes, until end of stocks.

Upcoming 1:144 MiG-3 fighter

'Wait. Weren't you going to shut down Minairons miniatures brand? Why launching new products now, then?'

Indeed. However, there were a number of already finished projects that I wanted to share right before closure.

Such is the case of our upcoming 1:144th Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-3 WWII fighter, which will be available for purchase right from mid August (when the website is briefly reopened for a clearance sale) till the very end of Minairons miniatures around Christmas.

Italeri products sale

Just as previously announced for Zvezda and Peter Pig stuff, when I reopen Minairons miniatures website next month, I'm going to offer a 50% discount on all products Italeri there, mainly 1:72nd scale WWII model kits belonging to their fast assembly range, as well as some of their plastic figure boxes.

Such sale is going to last just until end of stocks, of course.

Zvezda products sale

Just as with Peter Pig's figures and models, when I briefly reopen Minairons miniatures webshop next month, I'm going to offer a 50% discount offer on all products from Zvezda --a renowned Russian model kit company whose products I've been retailing for the past few years.

Such sale comprises all of their WWII-related 1:144th scale plastic aircraft, 1:100th scale plastic vehicles and 1:72nd scale plastic figures and ordnance, as well as their GNW-related 1:72nd scale figures - all those we do have in stock, I mean.

Such sale is going to last just until end of stocks, naturally.

Peter Pig products sale

As a first step in the gradual process of dismantling Minairons miniatures webshop, I've thought it logical to cease retailing some third party products, such as those from Peter Pig --a British make mostly known for their 15mm white metal figures, as well as their 1:100th scale resin or metal vehicles and accessories.

Such sale is going to consist of a 50% discount offer on all products Peter Pig in our website, currently comprising their 4mm Age of Sail ships and naval accessories, as well as their 15mm SCW and WWII figures, vehicles, artillery and accessories.

Such sale will start as soon as Minairons Miniatures website is reopen by mid August. And, quite obviously, it is going to last just until end of stocks.

Facing the inevitable

Minairons miniatures will definitely close doors before Year's End. It has not been possible to reach an agreement that would allow its survival, and at this point it makes no sense for me to continue struggling to keep the website open, despite being retired and with current family health problems.

Consequently, Minairons.eu will close for 60 days starting from June 18; time necessary to address the aforementioned health problems. After that, I will briefly reopen the website to liquidate stocks and that will be the end of it all.

Orders currently in progress will be processed normally, and we will continue to respond to your queries or requests by email at info@minairons.cat. It has been encouraging and exciting while it lasted. Thanks for your kind support.

New 1:144 Fokker F.VII

I'm happy to share a new addition to Minairons' 1:144th scale collection of Spanish Civil War aircraft: a Fokker F.VII trimotor, that can be used for both sides as a liaison plane, troop carrier or light bomber. Model itself is DLP 3D-printed and consists of just 3 parts, so it still requires a little assembly.

In another order of things, doctors have already given us a timeline for my wife's lung surgery, after a few months of apparently successful chemotherapy treatment. After a compulsory appointment with the anesthesiologist and some latest hour tests, she'll enter surgery room on May 6th. Therefore, I'm most likely going to shut down Minairons' website for all the first half of May.

New 1:72 Ford AA bus

Here you have a new addition to Minairons' 1:72 collection of Interwar civilian vehicles: a Ford AA bus, that can be used either as an improvised transport of troops or in its original role --just a good old countryside bus. Model itself is mostly DLP 3D-printed and consists of just 3 parts: main body, roof and a hard plastic spare wheel. It requires a little assembly, then.

It was already released at Minairons' website a few days ago, but I'm still struggling with family health issues; so I had no time to publish this installment until right now. Apologies for the delay!

North western Italy Naval flags

Minairons' ever growing collection of 1:600th scale Age of Sail ensigns has added three new titles to their list, that you can see in the photo above - this time covering the Republic of Genoa from mid 13th to late 18th centuries, as well as the Duchy of Savoy during 18th century and its heir, the kingdom of Sardinia in Napoleonic times.

They're all already available at Minairons' website, as usual.

1:100 Miller-Ford racer & status update

I'm happy to share Minairons' latest release, the 1935 Miller-Ford racing car in 1:100th scale. Once again, this new model comes as a 3D-printed product, so requiring no assembly except for the white metal driver to be attached in cockpit.

As for our family health issues, my wife is coping well with her lung chemotherapy treatment; also, she is making visible progress in her motor rehabilitation process (she was affected by a Guillain-Barré syndrome). This is going to take a long time still, but we both are optimistic at regard.

Nevertheless, over four months have passed now since this health issue started, so I'm likely still going to need to shut down Minairons' website from time to time, in order to perform all necessary housekeeping tasks while she is hospitalized. You know, a day is just 24 hours long!

As for the desired Minairons miniatures managament transfer after my retirement, I'm happy to let you know that a preliminary talk took place recently with a friend who had also been in the wargame business for some time, with satisfactory results so far. Hopefully exciting news in this matter to come within this year.
