End of May state of things

Just a few works to let you know what we have in hands right now, a few days before the month is over. Our next novelty will come next week, when we're going to release at last the 1/100 version of Panzer / Befehlswagen I ausf. B. All components are ready, we're just awaiting boxes to be printed. Once released this one model, the whole SCW Panzer I family will be available at both 1/72 and 1/100 scales.

Right afterwards and still within June, we have two models else awaiting their turn --the one at 1/72 scale, the other one at 1/56. A first batch of both is already cast, we're just expecting their respective artwork to be finished for starting box design. Which one will be ready first? Well, place your bid please!

One of the models in contest is the 1/72 scale version of Henschel Type 33 heavy truck, already released at 1/56 some time ago. This kit is nearly identical to its larger sister, except for having a white metal SCW driver included in it.
20GEV015
The other candidate is 1/56 Chevrolet 1.5ton truck --one model we're especially fond of. We cannot determine yet which one is to be released first, and launching of the one excludes the other for both logistic and financial reasons - too unlikely and costly to have up to 3 boxes designed and printed in just one month. The loser in this race will have to wait until next July, sadly.

Besides, it is also expectable for within June our 4th white metal infantry set - 20mm Nationalist Command & Weapons. Greens are being sculpted right now, so we're within deadlines. Just a note about white metal figures schedule: this range is the less likely one to drop from a previously given deadline, for it enjoys the maximum priority.

In July we'll see the birth of two 1/72 sets else: white metal Militiawomen and a hard plastic Renault FT-17. No images on this latter yet, but I'm confident to be able to show you some ultimate sprues pretty soon.

New 1/72 Flakpanzer I ausf. A

20GMV001 box
Just a few weeks after having launched the Flakpanzer I ausf. A at 1/100th scale, we are now releasing a 1/72 version of it! Not strangely, because it comes from the same design concept than its smaller sister, this nice model kit is formed by a total of 14 parts --6 of which are hard plastic, other 7 are resin and 1 is white metal.
20GMV001 parts
Unlike its 1/100 version, this 1/72 WWII AA device is sold individually and is complimented by a set of decals --the same one also delivered within 20GEV004 kit. True that the Flakpanzer I was used only by Germany, but we've thought that you wouldn't mind having some Hungarian, Spanish Nationalist and VBCW BUF decals in excess... And last, kit is also complimented by a splendid set of 3 white metal German crewmen, superbly sculpted by Juan Bautista of Xan Miniatures. Here below you can check what the model looks like once built and painted:

1/72 Militiawomen preview

As commented a few days ago, our next set of SCW 20mm figures will be a Nationalist Command & Weapons box, release of which is currently forecast for June. What is to come next, then?

Just as their male infantrymen equivalents, our upcoming SCW Militiawomen collection is to consist of two boxed sets, the first one comprising 15 first line Militiawomen, and the second one gathering female command, standard bearer and rearguard employees. We'd like you to have a first glance on such first female set greens, and let us know your opinion:

In the pictures above you can see only 14 figures; the 15th one in the set is a Dinamitera that you can watch below:

Unlike the rest of our SCW 20mm figures range, that is being sculpted by the experienced Juan Bautista of Xan Miniatures, this particular collection of female figures has been commissioned to Angel Terol --who had a first experience with us at making the 15mm German crewmen for Flakpanzer I ausf. A.

This new set is scheduled for July 2014, just behind the release of Nationalist Command & Weapons.

Good news for UK customers

PSC We are exultant to let you know that The Plastic Soldier Company, who are our main distributor in the United Kingdom, has just decided to venture unreservedly into Spanish Civil War; having thus recently introduced our full catalogue in their trade listings, as well as into their own online webshop. I'm convinced this will be good news to our wide community of British customers, who will from now on have the chance to get our models and figures direct from an UK trader, so saving some shipping money.

Rif Raf Also, some might like to know that Rif Raf Miniatures are willing to carry our 1/56th scale models too, due to having judged these to be an ideal compliment to their excellent own range of Spanish Civil War 28mm figures --with a prospective at tightening closer our deal, for Rif Raf figures might be welcome in Spain and, if so, we'd love carrying them. Rif Raf Miniatures own website has already been updated with our 1/56 products too.

1/72 Nationalist Command & Weapons preview

Once released, a few days ago, a first set of 1/72 SCW Nationalist infantry, it's now the turn for a second one that comes to complete the bread & butter of this particular side --just as we did with the People's Republican Army before. Following the schema settled with the Republicans, this second Nationalist set will include close support weapons and unit command. Here there go the starting sketches drawn by Juan Bautista:
LMG teams
Figures 1 to 4 are those of two Hotchkiss LMG teams.
Mortar team
Figures 5 & 6 form a light mortar team.
HMG team
As with its Republican equivalent, there will also be an HMG team of three figures.
Officers
The set will be completed with two officers, a standard bearer and a bugler.

This new set of 14 figures will be most likely ready before the end of this month, but for caution face to unexpected delays we've scheduled its release for next June.

New 1/72 Nationalist Infantry

20GEF006 box
According to theoretical deadlines, the first sets of our 1/72 Nationalist Infantry should already be in our headquarters. However, the foundry where they're being cast has experienced an unexpected increase of work lately, affecting a bit their pending orders. Not any problem though, because that only means some three or four days of delay --no more. This is why we've decided to make them available for order in our webstore anyway, in the full confidence we'll be able to ship those ordered sets before the end of week.

Such is the shape the new set, made by Juan Bautista too, has ultimately taken:
20GEF006 greens I
20GEF006 greens II
20GEF006 greens III
20GEF006 greens IV
As customary in our SCW figures range, all 15 infantrymen in this set are different to each other --no repeated poses. Two of them are armed with SMGs and/or show leading poses, thus easing to be used as NCOs. Pricing policy keeps being the same one started with our Republican sets: € 15.95 RRP the box.

Work on the next Nationalist set has already started, allow us a few days for posting some preliminary sketches on them!
