Re-opening and new releases

I'm going to re-open Minairons webshop tomorrow Thursday at noon, so as to let users eventually interested in placing an order to do so normally. Please have into account a couple of things, though: first of all, that not all products are at good enough stock levels, because of the general shutdown ordered by authorities by well-known reasons. Secondly, that mail services all around the world may be experiencing some difficulties, so that delivery times might widen a bit. Please accept in advance my apologies for all this - and do not lower your guard against Covid-19. Keep staying safe!

So as to celebrate our re-opening, I'm happy to share our latest releases: three new sets of 1:600th scale Naval Flags from both 17th and 18th centuries.

As you can see in the photo above, these three new sets are devoted to privateering and piracy: Dutch West Indies Company (1621-1660), Barbary Corsairs (1580-1780) and Bartholomew Roberts (1719-1722) (a renowned pirate also known as Black Bart). All three sets will be available for purchase right tomorrow!

Maserati 8CTF racer

Here you have the latest addition to our 1/72 scale Grand Prix range, Maserati 8CTF. Just as the four previous models, this is an overall simple model kit consisting of just seven high quality resin parts (main body, wheels and axles), complemented by a white metal driver.

It's already available as a blister kit in our webstore. A 1/100 scale version of it is expected to come along this year too.

I'm happy to present you the latest addition to our Spanish Civil War flag ranges at either 1:100, 1:72 and 1:56 scales: those of Mackenzie-Papineau Battalion, a mainly Canadian unit belonging to the ever glorious XVth International Brigade.

Our ever growing SCW flag listing currently comprises the following sets: 1:100 or 15mm, 1:72 or 20mm, and 1:56 or 28mm. All them are presented as DIN A7 sized paper sheets with three textured flags each.

New 1:100 and 1:72 Harley-Davidson Flathead

Please allow me a few words to explain my long lasting silence of the last weeks. Last month, my wife suffered an accident by which she got her left ball joint broken into pieces, after slipping on a wet pavement and falling to ground with so a bad luck that all her (otherwise light) weight struck violently onto her left knee. Such unfortunate accident has left me with little time free for anything else than taking your kind orders, so nearly no other noticeable activity from Minairons has been observed for one long month. She's recovering fast and in good shape though, so I'm currently feeling pretty optimistic --despite she's going to require intensive care for a while still, so my own activity isn't going to retake a regular rate for some weeks yet.

While awaiting the moment to resume a regular activity, let me show you a latest hour addition to our 1:100th and 1:72nd scales SCW ranges: Harley-Davidson Flathead motorcycle, a vehicle widely used in Spain --especially by the Assault Guards but also by other Republican regular units.

This is in fact the vehicle-only version of a rider-bike set already released both in 1:100th and 1:72nd scales some time ago, thus allowing to users the chance to use the motorcycle separately from a rider, for their own purposes. The 15mm version blister comprises two motorbikes while just one the 20mm version --both inclusive of optional stands, and both selling at €2.95 the blister.

More exciting news are awaiting their turn to be released. Please keep tuned!

Upcoming Trubia A4 tank

I'm proud to announce what is going to be our first Spanish Civil War AFV of 2020, the Trubia A4 tank (also known as Trubia 75HP), in 1:72nd scale. A first batch of models will be produced this winter, so I expect to release it soon, by late Winter or early Spring.

This new model comes to complete our Trubia series, all whose member can be seen in the picture above - along with a Renault FT-17 for size comparison.

New 1:144 Breguet Br. XIX light bomber

I'm happy to show you our first release of 2020, a new 1:144th scale SCW aircraft this time. It's the renowned Breguet Br. XIX, a light bomber and reconnaissance biplane aircraft that is a real must for virtually any interwar, SCW and early WWII setting.

Following our customary practice, model itself is quite easy to build, for it consists of just 9 finely cast, high quality resin parts - besides of white metal pilot and gunner kindly supplied by Peter Pig. Breguet Br. XIX boxed set also includes a decal sheet that includes markings for both SCW sides, as well as for a WWII Greek aircraft.

Hope you friends find this to be a good start for this 2020 new year!

1:600 English East Indiaman flags

We've just made available a new set of Age of Sail flags, this time devoted to the English East India Company and the ensigns its ships flew until the 1707 Union Act.

Our Age of Sail flags collection currently consists of 23 sheets covering 8 maritime nations, for a period extending from early 17th to late 18th centuries (besides of two ruthless pirates too!). It stands as an ideal complement not only to our own 1/600 scale ships range, but also to similar products from brands such as Skytrex, Peter Pig, Warlord's Black Seas or the upcoming Firelock's Oak & Iron boxed game.
